Founded in 1978 by Shirley and Don Wagner, Prairie Star Ranch got it's name from - Prairie Star - a mustang mare which was adopted by the Wagner family through the government's 'Adopt-A-Horse' program. To read more about Prairie Star, click here.

Now operated by Shirley and Don's son Larry, Prairie Star has expanded it's horizons to include training for horses and their humans. He is also avid rescuer and neglected horse rehabilitator. This work lead to the buying and selling of less fortunate horses to safe and loving homes.

Prairie Star Ranch works hard at continuing it's reputation for being a caring and knowledgeable horse boarding, training and educational center.
